Reshon ‘Drummerboi’ Ramsey - Music is My Life!
Reshon Ramsey was born and raised on the island of Tobago, one of the twin island state, Trinidad and Tobago. He is currently twenty-seven years young.
His interest in drumming began at the tender age of six. Being born into a musically inclined family, Reshon spent a lot of time in the panyard.
His first inspiration for the drums started with Keith Gardiner who showed him the basics to drumming. He continued to learn the artform by observing seasoned drummers like Leason Jacobs, Leon Foster Thomas amongst others. YouTube has also assisted in perfecting his skills.

At the age of ten, Reshon was blessed with the opportunity to experience his first Steelband Panorama as a drummer. Since then it has opened the door to many opportunities. From that time he has been able to display his honed drumming skills whilst performing under several musical arrangers.

Talent bleeds through Reshon Ramsey family and his involvement with Kersh Ramsey could have been the secret ingredient to their Panorama success. Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything.

Reshon is currently drumming for Mangrove Steel Band in the UK National Panorama 2024 competition to be held at Horniman’s Pleasance, Kensal Road, London on Saturday 24th August 2024 and Panpodium wishes him and Mangrove Steel Band every success.
