BAS 21st Annual Awards - Best Youth Steelband - Stardust Steel Orchestra
Best Youth Steelband at the Notting Hill Carnival gives prominence and centre stage to the involvement of young people aged 21 years and younger participating in this world-famous event.
Performance at the Notting Hill Carnival is always challenging but despite increasing audience numbers, louder sound systems and general congestion, we continue to see more bands and young participants on the road and competing for this title.
Their rendition of “Savannah Grass” saw Stardust Steel Orchestra take the title for the second consecutive year. Collecting the award is Tara Baptiste. The award is presented by Robbie Joseph, BAS Public Relations Officer.
