Pan Man Skiffle Passes

Micheal Oscar Augustus Browne a.k.a Skiffle.Born in St.kitts in 1941. Skiffle started to play the Steelpans from the early age of 12. He left his Caribbean home to arrive in England in 1960. Skiffle’s love for the pan linked him to various bands in the vicinity. One such band would be a band called Texaco steel band in 1973, Skiffle formed this group of pan players and made it to be the best from his district rehearsing from Larches Street, Sparkbrook, and many have great memories of the early uprising of this band which could never be forgotten.

 The funeral of the late Micheal Oscar Augustus Browne a.k.a Skiffle formerly from the Sun Jets Steel band Will take place at: 12.30 On Friday 15th August 2008 The St.Johns Church Stratford Road Sparkhill Birmingham B 11 4 RG The internment will be at Witton Cemetery.

Refreshments served at the B,C.A, Jenkins St, Smallheath, Birmingham B10 0PQ The family would like to thank everyone for their comforting words and support at this time.
